  1. They can be transferred if they wish, or not - the choice is theirs, we just have to word the contract appropriatly. Local Authority is insisting on Managed Service as part of BSF. Personally I would rather not have it - lack of control, lack of ownership etc. Ken
  2. Hi there, we have a vacancy for an ICT Manager on a 15 month contract for Pimlico Academy in Central London. Salary £40-45k pa dependent on experience etc. + the usual pension and holidays. Supervising a team of two, you will be responsible for all aspects of ICT in preparation for a switch to a managed service, scheduled for September 09. At that time staff will TUPE transfer to the new provider - you can choose to either transfer with them or move on to new pastures. The duties of the job are wide and varied, requiring a range of skills including strong technical abilities, strategic thinking, people and resource management, customer service skills, creative thinking and budget management. The successful candidate will be expected to get their hands dirty and to demonstrate a willingness to do what it takes. This breadth of duties and the sense of ownership that go with them make for a rewarding post. The timescales are tight - we will interview on Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th. Starting date is as soon as possible after that, but with flexibility for the right candidate.
