  1. We were using school asset manager as well, nice tool, great feature you can scan a code using a phone. Pretty expensive though, were paying around £120 a month
  2. We've been using SysAid in the past but then switched to Jitbit (the hosted version) has all the features and beats Zendesk's pricing. Also, big news: Spiceworks now offers a hosted version starting this year, they're currently in beta, but you can request an invitation at Hosted Help Desk Beta - Spiceworks . They still haven't published their prices tho
  3. No problem. Have you already tried freshdesk? Would you mind sharing downsides/strengths... Especially the facebook integration part, we might need this, looks like we have plans on publishing a school-page on facebook (sigh...)
  4. pretty neat, has everything we needed, the UI is uncluttered (the easiest among others we tried)... Also, they offer both "cloud" and "self-hosted" versions, and if you ever decide to move to your own server - they give you the backup of all your data (like, weekly download). deans office is kinda crazy about keeping it "somewhere on the cloud", so this was the turning point in convicing... Downside: they have no twitter/facebook stuff in it (and looks like no plans for it)
  5. We use Jitbit's, it's not free tho, but we qualified for their "6 months free" plan (details here: Free Hosted Helpdesk
