It works good without the extender, but i need these extender to work, any idea why these extender are not transpoting the edid ? or any way to force a res change to the terminals?

I re installed mps again and its working good now guy thanks. I got another issue now, hopefully there is a fix for it. The thing is im using a Vga extender using a RJ45 adaptor but its not recognizing my monitor brand neither the correct resolution for it. Do you guys know how to force a change in resolution setting in MPS?

Thanks for take the time to help me out both of you. Let me explain it more clear. I was using Softxpand 2k11 to share my PC with my wife just by adding an extra keyword, mouse and monitor. The thing is now i want to set up a few more extra station and the softxpand license/support blocked my serial (these ppl suck stay away). I installed MPS 2k11 thinking it will work the same way as softxpand 2k11, by installing it and assaign each devices to each monitor and that it use terminals, but the thing is when i installed MPS and turned on the PC it ask me to assaign each device by pressing a letter on each keyword, right after i assaign each device it goes with a MPS screensaver show on both screen and it doesnt login in to the desktop. So my gutts telling me that MPS works as a RDP server, i think i need to log from another computer throught RDP and deploy each workstation?, or it should works without RDPing to it? Any way to make one of this terminal as the master termianl so i can controll all of them through it.?

I have installed MPS 2k11 but right after when the screen login appear to assaign device to each workstation, it just display the MPS screensaver, i cant login to the desktop. I think im confused, does this work as a remote server? do i need to connect to the server to diploy my workstations?, or they should display the desktops right when i assaign each devices?, i thought this worked like softxpand where you install it and thats it.

Right when i turn on the pc and each monitor display image, it only appear the MPS screensaver on both monitor, however i can see mouse pointer on each monitor but cant do anything else but move the pointer around while the screensaver says "windows multipoint server 2011" floating around. I thought MPS would be like softxpand duo, i thought it was like any normal window where you log on to the manager and then deploy a new station on each monitors.

Any idea why im getting stuck on login screen?

Hi maten, thanks for your fast answer, i did conect each mouse and keyboard to a separeted usb hub, i now recognized each keyword and mouse as separeted divice but i still stuck on the screensaver, it just hang there without login to the desktop.

I think this is the cause, i just plugged all my keyword onto my usb port, do i need separeted usb hub for each keyword and mouse?

I installed Multipoint server 2011 premiun today but i have a problem, once the configuration screen appear, the one that you need to press the letters to configure each desktop, when i press on the second screen the letter B it just keep deploying the MPS screensaver and the first monitor just does nothing when i press the letter C, it just stay there without doing nothing. Im stuch right there, what should i do to complete login on each desktop?

Thanks for you answers really clear me some points. However im still confused if i made bad purchase on these cards as i read there is not possible way to extended monitor on Y splliter DIV, but some others says is possible to do so. Also whats the price of the standar license for MPS 2011?.

HI guys, this is my first time here. I fairly new to multiseat computing, i have always used Softxpand Duo but now i dicided to give a try to MPS 2011, but have a couple of doubts to be resolve. Does MPS 2011 works exacly as Softxpand,.. just connect yours divices and map mouse and keywords together with each monitor? and thats it or it needs any special adjustment. I will be using these card for 6-7 station. 4 ATI video card with dual monitor attached to them could yield 8 VGA output theoretically , will this work or MPS will reconized one monitor per DVI input?, also whats the price of license ?
