Morning, I am after a bit of advice please. I have a group of macs which are on a AD domain all connected with winbind. 20 of the macs at working fine on the domain, however I have 2 macs which will not let people login to the domain. It says network account unavailable. When you login to the macs ever all the settings look the same as a mac next door which is working fine. You can ping the gateway and also browse the internet. Any suggestions would to start looking to resolve this would be welcome Thanks Kiwi

Hi, I was wandering if anyone in the forum could point me in the right direction please. We have just added another school into our group of schools which have Apple Macs installed. We have been asked by a department of Art to upgrade the OS on these Macs. When we come to do the upgrade it asks for an Apple user Id & password of a user which left the school about 6 years ago. So I re-created her account school and e-mail address and asked for a password reset from Apple. Apple says the account is not recognised. So I thought with it not being used for so long the account has been deleted at apple. However when I go to recreate the apple account it says you cannot use the mail address to register the account. So currently I am going around in circles. Could some one point me in the right direction in getting this sorted out so I can add the OS update to the machine please. Thanks Alan
