Windows 10 20H2 Office 2016 Hi I have customised sets of Windows Start Menu tiles for my users. The actual tiles vary between user groups. The start menus are set via xml files in GPOs. I have (had) a tile linked to the Staff User Policy that opens a link to our old Spiceworks IT Portal hosted on one of our servers. Our staff were using this as the primary method of raising an IT Support call. I need to change this, as we are now using the online version of Spiceworks. I want the tile to open an email in desktop Outlook to help@’myschool’.on.spiceworks.com I’ve tried two options: 1. Change the line in the xml file. I’ve tried a number of variants of DesktopApplicationID="Microsoft.Office.OUTLOOK.EXE.16 /c ipm.note /m help@’myschool’.on.spiceworks.com" /> 2. I also have a batch file that will open the required email. What I can’t figure out is where this batch file needs to be, and what I need to change the line in the xml file to. a. Can it be in the staff share? I think I read somewhere that W10 20H2 doesn’t like that??? b. What do I need to type in the xml file to make it ‘see’ the batch file. Can anyone see what I’m getting wrong with either option? Is there a better way I could be doing this? Thanks

Ok...may have solved it myself. If I have, this may help others? Earlier I found a setting in the Teams Admin > Teams policies > Global (Org wide default) > Create private channels. This was defaulted to 'Off'. I changed it first thing this morning to 'On' and it had no effect. However, I've just tried to create a new channel again and the 'Privacy' option is now there. I presume there is a lag on any changes you make in Teams Admin that I wasn't aware of?

Like many others, I'm scrambling to get Teams set up.I'm trying to add a new channel within my Governors team but the 'Create a channel...' popup is missing the 'Privacy' options. This means it just brings all the members in from the Governors team, and then doesn't allow me to edit them as required. I presume this missing 'Privacy' option is as a result of some setting in the Teams Admin Centre that I can't find despite spending all morning trawling the net for help.Can anyone point me in the right direction to solve this please?

I looked into this for our students with dietary requirements. There was a lot of 'pointing fingers' going on between us, our canteen provider, our payment software, Sims and NRS. The main (but not only) problem seemed to revolve around the fact that we're running an older version of the Trust-e software, that has limited functionality in this area. It got too hard so we resorted to supplying the kitchen staff with a list of students where care is required. Hardly ideal but it works for us as we are a small high school and the kitchen staff know our students.

I've used a 3M usb extension on the original 5M cables on several boards here without issue...except a few years ago when I found a teacher had plugged it into an unpowered usb splitter.
