Our staff have always had the same access as the kids, this is done via RM filtering and our own ISA server, for one thing it saves the hassle of teachers planning a lesson around a web site only to find that the kids can't access it. We've recently had a few teachers wanting us to get them videos from youtube though so we're now using a two tier approach on the ISA server - there's now a staff only 'allowed' list of sites that are blocked for the kids, at the moment there's only youtube on it but it may grow in the future (but it won't be including bebo, facebook etc)

Got to agree with Bossman, they've got a crappy job and generally don't get any thanks for it. I've got to say ours are pretty good, some will even shut down rooms full of PC's for me or retrieve bits and pieces of damaged computers etc. Maybe because I take the time to chat with them and always get them a tin of choccys at Christmas. What annoys me is the teachers who allow the kids to trash rooms and think it's ok to leave at the end of the day with the rooms full of litter, windows open, computers all left switched on etc because it's 'not their job'

+1 for Impero. We've used several pieces of software over the years from Netop, Browse Control, Veryteaching but Impero seems to tie everything together better than most plus it's fairly easy for the teachers to use. The remote shutdown of all machines is handy at the end of the day too.
