About Andy61

  1. I wonder if anyone has had the following issue with this system: I had a teacher call me to say that they had booked a room out a couple of weeks ago and when they got there there was another class in who had booked the room a couple of days ago. When the teacher logged into the system it said what booking they had and this one was there. On the room bookings page for that room though it had the other booking listed. When I looked at a report it showed the attached file which clearly (if you can zoom in) shows 2 bookings for the same room for the same period. This hasn't happened before, as far as I know, but I'm wondering if it is the database and if so whether it will happen more in the future which will be very problematic.
  2. How have you found installing Texthelp I have been tearing my hair out trying to get it to run properly across a network. It works from a shortcut on a desktop but when I put it on a shortcut menu on the Start menu it wants to licence every time.
  3. I know this is an old post but I'm trying to install this program across our network and am having problems and Texthelp have said they can't help any further. How did you manage to install (if you ever did) across a network. The program works fine if installed on one machine and will talk across the network to the share we have for it but if I put it as a shortcut in the pupils start menu (which we do for all the programs the students need) then it asks for a licence. Did you have the same issues?
  4. I knew really JC78 just wanted to know why the secrecy it was on their website for a month
  5. I may be but when's the closing date as I would need to prepare for it.
  6. Are you recruiting on behalf of the school itself?
  7. I worked it out by using a different exe file from within the program and deployed and loaded very quick.
  8. Lot's of views but no response. Am I missing something in the information I'm supplying so that people can't understand my problem.
  9. I have been working on this problem for a couple of days now. I am trying to deploy SolidWorks as an available package via SCCM (only in a test environment at the moment). It comes up with the above error message (it doesn't have an error code at the end of it, it just says "investigate the installation failure reasons and then try to reinstall" - not very helpful at all) almost as soon as I hit install , I have successfully deployed many programs to this PC using the same method but this program won't do anything. I have installed on another machine from a command prompt using the same switches as I have in the package and it works correctly. The first time I ran it though it said the program was too big for the cache so I tried changing the cachesize (though I'm not entirely sure if that was successful) but now I just get the above message. I have looked through various client logs but not sure what I should be looking for and in which one. Can anyone shed any light on this as I have been searching around for ages now. Thanks in advance Andy
