  1. Afternoon, Everyone knows how to set Proxy settings via login script when its ip and port number, however the local authority decided to mess up its filtering and is now using 2 seperate .DAT files, 1 for staff and 1 for students. Does anyone know how to change the script so it uses the .DAT file instead? Thank you
  2. Morning, I have recently installed 'Compse World Play' at one of our Primary schools onto the Public Drive. However when users (Staff or Pupils) try to launch it they get the error message 'Macromedia Projector has stopped working and needs to close' I presume this is a permissions issue as when i log on as domain admin it runs fine but i am at a loss as to what is specifically causing it? Any help much appreciated! Thanks
  3. Hello, I have installed 'ProBotix' software at one of our Schools, its not in MSI format so I installed it onto a shared drive and added the shortcut onto users desktop (not normally a problem) However, when Pupils and Staff try to open it they get the error 'Macromedia Projector has encountered a problem and needs to close' I presume this is a permissions issue as it works as domain admin. Any help much appreciated! Thanks,
  4. That was my initial thought, i made her a local admin but still no joy
  5. Hello, One of our users asked for FMS installed the other day... Installed fine! But everytime she tries to open it now it cannot find the ini file and you have to manually select the S drive for it to log in. I have come across this before but for the life of me cant remember what the fix was... Cheers,
  6. Or will the board need to be replaced?
  7. One of the Smart Interactive Boards in the Foundation stage has a 'loose' VGA port. It looks as if it has been caught and yanked out, the port itself seems to have gone up into the casing or the casing has moved down meaning you can not get the VGA to USB lead in and therefore the board is not interactive. Will th board need to be taken down and apart or is there a way to do it whilst on the wall? Thanks,
  8. Thanks i will give that a try also. It was recently flattened and rebuilt with WIN7 (Suggestion by the LA) so its bang up to date...
  9. Thanks i will double check that. At my previous Job, all our users were on Windows 7 and we never had an issue there either...
  10. We have a user at one of our Primary schools who has recently been upgraded to Windows 7 (First in the school). However since she has been using Windows 7, SIMS, more often than not, crashes when logging in and is 'not responding'. However when she and everybody else uses it on WIN XP theres is no issues what so ever and it works fine... Any assistance would be much appreciated as the SLT want new laptops (Which will no doubt have 7 on them) Many Thanks, Ash
