Hi, We use the MS agreement using full time equivalent numbers. This works out at around £30 per person but means we can license as many computers as we want. The agreement also entitles us to upgrades of the os we use. This is renewed annually over the 3/year fixed price. We also add server licenses to the agreement and renew them every year. The god thing is we don't have to update the license count every time we get a new member of staff only when we renew. So sometimes it goes up and other times it goes down. Microsoft datacenter is also something I would recommend for licensing if you are virtualizing.

We have a meraki switches and ap in one of our sites and we are looking to role it out fully to all aites. The ability to do stuff on the fly through the mobile app is great. I can throw reports together for the headteacher in little to know time. Webfiltering and shaping within the system is great. Expensive but so worth it for us.

If you are doing it within the same LA and ofc you are using them for your internet couldn't you consider asking them to connect the two ranges for you their end. Works for us we have three sites connected this way works a treat.

So long as you are happy with the back up VM machine I would delete the broken VM on server a then set up replication from Server B to Server A once the replication is completed turn of server B and power on server A. Test the data if you are happy... Disable the replication from B-A then reset it to A-B...

I would by a beefy Host and get MS datacenter then you are licensed for multiple virtual machines. Keep the host out of the domain so you keep access if the domain fails. And use a third party tool to back up the virtual machines to the cloud or a external hard drive. Azure is looking good ATM for that. All of these can be added to your MS School Agreement if you have one. Later thought: if you buy a good host now you could then buy a second one and set up replication using your self signed certs is tricky but once it is up and running you can have a failsafe set it to do a full replication every 4hours or so. I have found that you have data changes replicated every 10-5 main. Draw back if you buy none enterprise licenaes or an additional licence (i forget which) if your main server fails you have to manually select the secondary server. Lots of things to think about not enough room on my phone to put them all down.

Hi guys, This has been getting to me now for sometime and for love or money I have been unable to find the answers to my questions either from the LA or CentraStage themselves. I am using or was planning on using the MDM element to manage the ipads we have however the thing never connects to the network in the building. I think it is an issue with the SWAN and firewall/proxy as when I take a device of the SWAN I get an instant connection. The guys at the LA have been great and checked the ports to make sure they aren't blocked but I still cant get this to work. Has any one had any issues with CentraStage and connecting and if so how how how did you manage to work around it. Thanks
