At home I have Hyper-V VM running the DietPi (https://dietpi.com/) operating system. It's been happily blocking 1.7M domains with only 512MB RAM for years. No worries about killing SD cards and you could even enable replication for complete Pi-overkill!

Running the PaperCut client from a servers C$ share isn't ideal. Is there a reason for needing a VBS script? I'd just run the exe as a start-up script. Good luck with the pay rise!

In a previous job i was contracted to install 500 new desktop PC's. Every new desktop came with a new power cable which was slung in to a large box. As these new desktops were replacements there was already an existing power cable there so the new ones weren't needed. One day I found the PAT guy sat at the box of 500 power cables looking rather bored. He had carried out a PAT on every single cable. Why? Because he was told to PAT everything! Nice little earner
