  1. Advanced are looking for a new timetabling consultant for Facility CMIS and Progresso, details are below in case anyone fancies a change. Consultant #421719 Mobile ? UK
  2. My background is a degree in Computer Science and Business, I then got a job on the helpdesk of an MIS provider and worked my way through to a training consultant. This is my second school as a data manager, I'd love to do a masters in something which would be relevant to my role. I have had a look at the SSAT qualification but I'm not sure how much benefit it would be; I'm still debating whether to go for it.
  3. Hello everyone, I am toying with the idea of proposing a data room or a data wall in order to allow staff to visualise the progress students are making or need to make for us to reach our targets. I just wondered if anyone had done something like this already and what your thoughts were? Is it used? Do Staff like it? Also I'd be interested into how far you go, so for all years, or just KS4, 5 A*-C wall and a seperate Levels of Progress wall etc Thanks
  4. Hi Mark, I've been asked to look at national data as well, I have found the following, https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/provisional-gcse-and-equivalent-results-in-england-2013-to-2014 https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/a-level-and-other-level-3-results-2013-to-2014-provisional Examination Results - JCQ Joint Council for Qualifications Hope they help
  5. We use the following table for English, so the English Reading test result and then for Maths we use the total mark test result. I wasn't here last year but I have been advised they were given the look-up tables by an education consultant who came into the school. I think we maybe need to look at averaging the two values now though in order to get a more realistic value. English 1-10 N 11-13 3c 14-16 3b 17-18 3a 19-24 4c 25-30 4b 31-35 4a 36-40 5c 41-45 5b 46-50 5a Maths 1-14 N 15-17 2b 18-26 3c 27-35 3b 36-44 3a 45-56 4c 57-67 4c 68-78 4a 79-86 5c 87-93 5b 94-100 5a
  6. We used student's Reading scores and then converted this to a Level for KS2 and based our LoP on this. However we now have parents asking why their son/daughter is on such a low target when in their Grammar and Punctuation they did so well. There seems to be a large number of students who have performed significantly better at the Grammar test than the Reading test. I'm not sure if we will now start doing an average of the reading and grammar score, from what I can gather there is no set way to do it, what is everyone else using? Thanks
