We seek to appoint, as soon as possible, a full-time technician to join the
IT support team and to be responsible for maintenance of computer equipment and
the resolution of technical problems, as well as undertaking general tasks which
facilitate the use of ICT at Princethorpe College (HMC 820 pupils 11 to 18) and
at Crackley Hall School (IAPS Nursery to 11 years). This is initially a twelve
month contract with a strong possibility of it being extended to permanent.
The person appointed will also provide support for application issues,
monitor virtual platforms and perform housekeeping tasks to ensure systems are
up- to-date and in line with policies.
This is a fantastic job opportunity for someone who is practical,
enthusiastic and adaptable, has a good understanding of networking and is
interested in IT systems development. There may be a career advancement
opportunity for the right candidate.
Applicants should ideally have experience to MCP level. Familiarity with ICT
in a school environment would be an additional recommendation, as would
expertise with reporting from SQL databases.
Salary will be in the range £16k to 23K.
