Scoks 5 is standard. Changing it to 4 does not make any difference

This post gives the solution for IE browsers: A blank page is displayed when visiting http://support.microsoft.com This solution does not work in firefox. Firefox 2.0.0.14 and IE7 do not work here with me. Only Opera does.

When I go to Microsoft Help and Support (or all the pages there) I get a blank page in firefox 2 and in IE 7 I get the "I cannot display this page". When I go to exactly the same page in Opera, the page displays. All the 3 browsers on my laptop use the same company forward proxy server. What is going on? Some weeks ago this problem did not occur. Nothing there in logfiles...........
