  1. Actually - I completely forgot that Paxton also has a door handle version called Net2Air - from my previous pricing exercises, this seems to be very competitive as well. I love it when these things can be integrated together but psydii is right - it doesn't happen overnight. The trick is to look far enough into the future to ensure all technology that could go together, can come together seamlessly. But I agree it's difficult to do when things are so far away on the horizon but I guess that's where working with a good provider who has seen many of these system can help and offer guidance on things most of us have not thought about.
  2. We use the Avery Photo ID system. Whole thing costs £499 that prints out badges for staff, contractors and visitors. Does exactly what it says on the tin!
  3. Really depends on what you need it to do. Paxton's a great system for all general purpose access control but if you wanted lift control, then I would recommend Inner Range or Honeywell. If you're looking for a system with lots of doors and difficult cable routes then perhaps a Salto system would be good (then you need to decide whether it is offline or online). So many systems, so little time. It all comes down to your requirements and what info you would like to get out of it. e.g. time & attendance, fire alarm integration, reports & alerts, other systems etc.
