  1. Thanks all for your info and support. An extract from good reads.com about that book " Richard Carlson demonstrates how we can change everything in our lives – earn more money, meet new friends, get a new job – yet still feel dissatisfied" I've done exactly this is the last few months plus more. Might as well give it a go while I'm waiting The doctor said to try counselling before starting on tablets. He seemed depressed himself though and a bit strange.
  2. Absolutely. All signed up. Waiting to hear back. Doctor sent me to italk. Can't believe how many sessions you go to. Think I was sort of wanting a pill that you take and it just solves everything.
  3. Thanks all. That's it. I want the help but I think its going to be hard accepting it. Think its because my mind just says, how is that going to help. Prob a bit like hypnosis, only works if you believe in it and want it to happen. Ticked the box for being interested in CBT but found it was computer behaviour therapy. Left it ticked though as it was a extra.
  4. Doctor has just recommended to get some counselling. On the verge of depression with high anxiety. Constantly questioning everything and can't let anything go. Whenever I see these "how to feel happier" posts shared on Facebook I just think "what a load of boll****" as I'm reading through it. Never got to the end of one. Got the same feeling about counselling. Has it worked for anyone? What does it involve Can't think of anything worse than being given a book and told to write my feelings or something similar.
  5. Mxtoolbox.com has given me the public ip and also the public DNS for the server of mail.(servername).com. Mx toolbox can't get any smtp response.
  6. Hi, I've worked a fair amount in the office 365 cloud exchange but just moved to a London school and they are still on Exchange 2003. Local exchange servers are before my time as I've gone straight into cloud services in my previous job but I'm able to create accounts through AD. Well, I know it doesn't show up in mailboxes until first login so guessing it's created, if I send a email to the address it gets returned as doesn't exist. The bit I'm struggling with is finding auto discover, SMTP, or anything. Can anyone provide any help getting this please. Just need to keep it going for a few months before it moves to the cloud. Many thanks
  7. Thanks both, Don't have access to the current system until late April so can find out details then. Have a better understanding of the DNS and what steps are needed. May get back to you with further details later if that's ok.
  8. Hi, Just started working on migrating our email system from a local exchange server to office 365 and want to get my head round it all including DNS and downtime when migrating accounts and data. So you sign up for office 365 for education, add your domain. Your domain would be the same as your website address without EduGeek.net - The I.T. Professionals' life line. Right? Our LEA provides us with a external IP for our local server containing our website which we pass to fasthosts although I've never had to alter this. Office 365 requires a mx record for exchange mail. This would get added into the fasthosts DNS system that currently has the http schools website on. Or even altered as im guessing there is already one there for the current system, need to check that. After changing the DNS record the emails would then get sent to the cloud exchange server. So this would mean that the email system would have to be taken down for a few days whilst the email accounts with the data is transferred and the DNS is altered. How would you minimise this downtime? can you create accounts and then transfer the data whilst they are using the new system? My plan next is to try and find the tools for transferring from a local exchange to the cloud exchange server. Any info you can give will be greatly appreciated.
