Hi Guys I don't post often here, as you probably can tell from my profile, but I thought I'd see if anyone was interested in seeing how our development is going with BSF now we have lift off! The school has a blog at Neale-Wade BSF blog Is anyone else currently working at a school that's being redeveloped under BSF? Is anyone at a school that is completed? I'd be interested in hearing your experiences, its all a bit mad over here as only a handful of staff have a good idea of what is happening, what part of the school is being demolished first and which departments are being moved into temp accommodation! Fun times ahead! :-S

Thankfully our build has started, the temporary units are now up and they will start demolition in August. Would have been interesting if they had scrapped us as well though!

Tried that already I'm afraid, the setting comes under 'SATA Controller' in the bios, it won't boot fog for either option under 'SATA Controller Mode'. (Those options are IDE and AHCI) If its any help, its an Nforce SATA controller, I can't find anything on the FOG Knowledge base regarding compatibility for this.

Hi guys We have an easter job of sorting out our music tech room with some new pcs. We got these HP mini towers, they are not getting past the fog boot up menu for registration (or anything else). I fear that the SATA controller is unsupported. It throws up an error along the lines of "ehci_hcd request interrupt 14 failed" Any ideas? Thanks

Yeah, I figured as much, the image is working fine for the older machines which already have the drivers integrated. But I can't add any more drivers. The only problem we will have with FOG is that we will have to run it on a VM, we have no more servers :'(

Did that mate, same message. So I guess the drivers are ok Now having a look into FOG, it looks very good, may give it a go! I've been having trouble adding any driver to our master RIS install since we ran SP3 on Win2003 so patch the conficker virus. It changed the RIS service to the WDS service, I'm wondering if thats the problem.

Hey folks. So I've got a Windows 2003 server setup to do remote XP installations via RIS. I'm running into some trouble trying to add network drivers to the XP image so that the installer can use the network adapter on one of our new machines (it's an Asus 10" EEE with an Atheros Network Adapter.) I grabbed the drivers from the CD for the ethernet adapter. The .sif file already exists as one of the old IT technicians set RIS up. I added the path for the driver into the ristndrd.sif file (located in \templates) I've done everything I can think of to get this to work, but when I try to remote boot the machine, I still get the message that "the operating system image you selected does not contain the necessary drivers for your network adapter." I'm not sure why; the driver is most definitely there, and I don't know of anything else that's required for RIS to see the driver other than the things I specified above that I did (I followed directions as per the MS website How to add a third-party OEM network adapter to a RIS installation. I've of course restarted the WDS service/server itself multiple times. I really don't understand why this isn't working, as I have followed all instructions found on the net, has anyone got any ideas?

Hello Not sure if anyone can help with this, I'm quite stumped by this and googling around hasn't yielded a solution! We got struck by conficker, managed to get most of it cleaned up, servers are all patched and protected and the majority of the desktops are clean. Since then, quite a few pcs have been running up to 50+ instances of the rundll32 process slowing the machines down. Rebooting machines seems to wipe the slate clean, the pc boots up without all the processes in task manager, but they slowly reappear bogging the machine down again. I've ran the sophos virus scanner and symatecs standalone conficker scanner, both returned clean, windows defender, spybot, adaware, clean! We have found whats causing them to run, 1000+ scheduled tasks, starting with 'At', then a number after the 'At'. Anyone ever seen anything like this? Any help would be appreciated with glowing praise and cookies! You will also save me from tearing my hair out and smashing my fist through every pc in the school! Thanks! Seb
