  1. Anyway we can make better use of screen real estate? There's a lot of useless space to the left and right of the Install consumable Consumable stock columns.
  2. A few posts ago I made a zip file with xampp and PM setup available for a "quick setup".
  3. Also can we get a supply for something other than a toner colour? Maybe icons for, fuser assemblies, imaging units (drums), toner collection units, rollers, and other "consumable supplies"?
  4. I created a simple XAMPP lite install, with the database stuff done to get PrintMaster to work. You can download it here. Download, extract, run "setup_xampp.bat", run xampp-control.exe, start mysql and apache, and login to 127.0.0.1/printmaster-master/ I did not set up any type of security or passwords. You will want to investigate those settings/options asap.
  5. I currently use XAMPP. Had it up and running in under 10 mins from downloads to adding inventory. XAMPP allows for portability as well, I'm currently running it off of my desktop as i'm the only one managing our printing supplies.
  6. I had another idea that I think would be nice. Weekly reports that are emailed. Would be nice to have it automatically email a list of low and critical consumables to our purchasing department or to me.
  7. Hey, awesome job so far on this project. I love it so far. I spent Hrs trying to find something like this. I did have to modify the sql db to allow longer model names. 20 char wasn't long enough. I bumped it to 128. I just created my self a DB and added our current inventory of toner (113), and added models (21) for said toner. During this process I've come up with some things that I think would work out very well for this project. When adding toner or model have the option to save and new. Great for when your adding a bunch of consumables right after each other. Way to identify Remanfactured supplies vs OEM supplies vs specialty (MICR toners). Check for duplicated consumables when adding new types. Grand totals for carts in stock. (Way to do a number check. Database says 31. Shelf has 31 carts.) Way to track who took a consumable and who replenished a consumable. (required name field?) Seriously thanks for your time!
