Just for the record, and for anyone else having problems, open pro/desktop in compatibility mode for windows XP sp3 and as an administrator, go to Tools/Options/Performance and check the box for Disable hardware graphics acceleration (slower). Hi guys, I'm new here. I had pro/desktop 8 running fine on my windows 7 laptop, but just can't seem to have it running on my windows 8 machine. I installed it with admin permissions and windows xp sp3 compatibility and run it just the same, but it still throws a tantrum and closes when I try to draw a simple rectangle! I took a screengrab of the errors that sometimes, but not always come up: I would really like to have this running on my system - it would help massively with my schoolwork! Thanks in advance, Tom
