Thank you, all of you who replied. (PS, it is not a laptop, but a mini tower) Anyway... Problem solved. I disconnected ALL power output lines, reseated them and all is working again!

I did take the new battery out, tried to power on without the battery being installed, but it still did nothing. No power up at all. AND, the system was working fine before I replaced the battery.

I was getting a low battery warning during boot-up so I changed it after shutting down and disconnecting the power cord. I replaced the battery with an identical NEW battery, plugged the machine back in and tried to power up. I get nothing. It won't power up at all. Please help!
