We are in the middle of a mail migration from 2007 to 2010, on a single Active Directory site.
I’ve Change the current owa.company.com address to point to the 2010 internet facing CAS server. I’ve also create a legacy.company.com Host record to point to the 2007 CAS server, a wildcard certificate has also been purchased and assigned to the 2007 and 2010 CAS servers to prevent any name mismatch certificate warnings.
I’ve ensured the ExternalURL value is populated for the OWA virtual directory on the Exchange Server 2007 CAS that is the target of the redirect.
The issue is that mail flow works on all devices apart from mac users trying to access their email on exchange 2007 from Outlook 2011 via the redirect on 2010 CAS; as it will not connect to the server. However email accounts created on the 2010 mailbox server, outlook 2011 connects fine. The issue seems to therefore be with the redirect from 2010 CAS to 2007 MAILBOX server. Although the redirect works fine on Outlook Web Access, and Outlook 2010 client access, it’s having issues connecting using EWS.
Has anyone else experienced this with migration…
Thanks
Jon
