Many many thanks for your helping and interest, Geoff Yesterday I updated kernel to 3.9.0 and not I can select "HDMI sterereo output". I have no option for 5.1, but I don't know if it's normal or not. In any case, HDMI output works. I didn't try a newer kernel version since I don't know it thoses will work of with AMD fglrx drivers. Many thanks again. Tassadar

Oh my god! xD The truth is I'm a newguy on Linux, how can I do this? Many Thanks

It appears on alsamixer as HD-Audio Generic with ATI Rxx HDMI chip, but it's not selectable on phonom or pavucontrol Is it normal that it says something like "Element: S/PDIF [Off]" in the same alsamixer Window of the HDMI??? I think SPDIF is different from HDMI and should not appear as part of HDMI.... Many thanks

Hi all, I've a problem with a computer based on a AMD Zacate E350 APU (Asrock E350M1). I've install Kubuntu 13.04 and latest Catalyst 13.06 BETA drivers. I know installing an AMD Beta driver on Linux seems to be a suicide, when stable drivers have many problems, but the truth is that the combination Kubuntu 13.06 + AMD 13,06 beta works good even with Trinity APUs. My problem is very simple, when I go to Phonom I can't select HDMI audio output, and I've only analog and SPDIF. It can't be a hardware problem since I've try Openelec and it has HDMI audio with no problems. I've try to enable SPDIF audio in alsamixer (no idea of relation, but I've read this in a forum), but problem persist. It seems like HDMI audio is disabled by defaulf, what is weird when I've try just same software combination on a Trinity APU and works ok; but Zacate doesn't. Any idea or help?? Many thanks in advance

Hi Pete1 Thank you very much for your answer, I try something that was reccomended to me in other forum and worked: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jd-team/jdownloader sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install jdownloader-installer jdownloader I see it's the same you advice me Many thanks!

Hi all, I'm using kubuntu 13.04 x64 and I'm trying to install jdownloader. My stepts have been: Install Java sudo apt-get install openjdk-7-jdk openjdk-7-jre Download and install jdownloader: wget http://installer.jdownloader.org/jd_unix_0_9.sh sudo chmod +x jd_unix_0_9.sh sudo bash ./jd_unix_0_9.sh Then jdownloader starts ok and works, update himself and all this stuff. The problem comes when I restart, then if i try to run jdownloader it seems to be loading for a moment but nothing, and if i try to run the updater I get this error: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: jd/gui/UserIO at jd.utils.JDUtilities.getDatabaseConnector(JDUtilities.java:876) at jd.config.SubConfiguration.(SubConfiguration.java:77) at jd.config.SubConfiguration.getConfig(SubConfiguration.java:106) at jd.update.WebUpdater.getConfig(WebUpdater.java:74) at jd.update.Main.main(Main.java:121) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:57) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:43) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:601) at com.exe4j.runtime.LauncherEngine.launch(Unknown Source) at com.install4j.runtime.launcher.Launcher.main(Unknown Source) Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: jd.gui.UserIO at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:366) at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:355) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:354) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:423) at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:308) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:356) ... 11 more ¿Any help? Hi again, Admiral208, I'm reading the "how-to" of this software, and seems to be focusee on creating and recovering images via lan. Since I can connect all drivers directly to the same computer, wouln't it be an easier way? In other forum someone has adviced me to do it with the same clonezilla if I've understand him OK: LINK Could you give me an opinion about this? Many thanks
-
Many thanks for the answer, I assume that this is not going to be very easy, but my skills with linux are more basics than advanced by now, so I really thank if I have an easier way than another, hehe. I'm going to look at the link you have posted me, I'll tell!!! Thanks!

Hi all, I have been using linux (Kubuntu x64 to be exact) for a few months and I use an bootable Clonezilla USB drive to make and recover images of the system, and works great. Now I want to make in the hard drive a recovery partition that will allow me to press a key or something similar when booting the computer and then go to a recovery option with what I can restore the computer to the default state. I need all to be in the internal hard drive, not on a USB drive, and I need the recovery process to be easy to use (I don't wan't to have to select partitions or other options). Mainly, I understand that making this can be a bit difficult, but I don't mind, the question is that the result, i mean, the recovery option must be simple and easy to use. Anyone knows how could I do this? Many thanks in advance
