This seems to be an issue with the defaultdocumentmodule not having been loaded correctly into IIS even though it's showing as installed when looking at add/remove programs. %windir%\system32\inetsrv\appcmd.exe install module /name:DefaultDocumentModule /image:%windir%\system32\inetsrv\defdoc.dll seems to have helped.

I can't login to HAP. I was able to do the entire setup.aspx properly, but when trying to use HAP and logon this comes up. I thought maybe I'd reinstall .NET stuff, but this is on a Windows 2012 R2 server, so you can't just uninstall and reinstall .NET. (and if I try to login with an incorrect user/password, then it correctly says that it's a wrong user/password). Stuck for this on a long time... HAP V9 is installed (I think either 9.0 or 9.1, not sure...) but is no longer working properly. Users are able to logon to HAP but they are not able to see anything once logged in other than Resources and Me, but neither of those links actually work. No link is showing for Mapped Drives either. None of the icons are showing for anything. This had been working in the past, though we are unsure when it stopped. Previous admin that set it up is no longer here. Wondering if this is worth troubleshooting or just better to reinstall from scratch and upgrading to 9.4. ?? (i tried to upload a screenshot but the attachment wouldn't upload to the thread for some reason)

Enabling HTTP back on the site got rid of the error, thanks. Is there an easy way for me to have HTTP binding enabled but still NOT allow it for the HAP site? I don't want users connecting over HTTP with AD logins.

I lost remote access after the reboot, so I cannot make the change to add port 80 binding to the site at this time. I will update this thread once I have access to the server again.

yes. only https is bound to the default website (which has HAP). i'm rebooting the server now, just in case it needed it after the 9.4 upgrade.

To clarify. I had IIS7 installed, and then installed NET4 (full). Doing that still didn't allow the Forms Authentication to appear, so I had to install ASP.NET from Server Manager as part of the IIS7 role. Once doing that, then Forms Authentication appeared for the HAP Site -> Authentication properties page.

IIRC, Forms based authentication won't show up unless ASP.NET is installed along with IIS in the Server Roles setup. Documentation doesn't mention this but, that's what I found with my last install.

So 9.0 seemed to work fine. I just stopped all IIS Services and upgraded to 9.4 by copying the contents of the .zip file to my HAP directory (wwwroot/HAP). Now, whenever I logon to the HAP site (both with IE10 and Mozilla 23) I get constant popups titled Message from Webpage saying "Internal Server Error". What broke?

I ended up just reinstalling HAP from scratch into a new Website within IIS and now its working... weird.

I have this working through TMG without issue. Didyou try creating a server publishing rule instead of a web publishing rule instead? I believe that's how mine is setup.

I couldn't log into HAP with IE10 either from a Win7 box (HAP 9.1) but the hotfix you linked seemed to have fixed the issue.

I searched, nothing turned up when using keywords of dictionary, WCF , etc. v9.1 I want to try enabling "Enable Move" on my 2 mapped drives which I hope allow users to copy/past/move/drag items into those folders from their desktop, etc. (though I've no idea if that's what it's supposed to do since well, it's not really documented that I can see) Enabling that option however gives me this error mesg in IE, "An WCF error occurred", and this message in Firefox, "The given key was not present in the dictionary." I'm assuming this functino is BROKE. ? I even tried manually changing the config file for those 2 drives to TRUE for Enable Move but that doesn't work either. Please advise.
