  1. Hi Winng, do you have monitoring setup on your MDT? Here's a good guide if you haven't: Monitoring Deployment with MDT 2013 | AskME4Tech Useful for tracking down exactly where it is failing.
  2. I've done a bit of background and some advice says to try a 'rebuild' on the failed drive. I'll try this after 3pm when the pupils have gone. Fingers crossed. Will give Dell a go and see what response i get.
  3. Hi everyone. My first post and hope you can help. I’ve come in this morning to the song of ‘broken’. The one we all know well, I’m sure. We have a Dell Poweredge1800 child domain and today one of the hard drives has failed. I haven’t dealt with this issue before and don’t want to make any wrong clicks and erase the lot!! The RAID is setup on a PERC 4 S/C Controller and I’m using the Dell Open Manage Array Manager (Dell support ran out last year!!). This tells me that Disk array 0:1 has failed and it has 128MB of unallocated space?? It shows this failure in 2 areas, an Array Group which contains a Virtual area showing both disks and a backplane area showing both disks. Basically I don’t know what options are open to me. Is it possible that the disk can be recovered and if so how do I go about this. If it is better to just replace the disk can I do that while the system is still running (How can I tell if hot swap is available), will the disk initiate itself and what precaution should I take. Any help would be really appreciated. Going to stick my face in Google now!! Cheers
  4. The only way to uninstall the PoicyCentral client is via an uninstaller which Forensics supply and update on a monthly basis. I work in a small Secondary and sometimes have to knick a curriculum machine for an office. Try an email to this guy, Paul Panter - [email protected], he’s really helpful and will send you the March edition of the uninstaller once he’s made sure you’re not a student!!
