Right now I am just seeing security and definition updates. So for me that is what I was wanting. I was just unsure if I needed to check mark anything else..

I hope this is the correct forum. If not please move. I just configured my new WSUS server and there are a lot of download options available. My environment is pretty simple. All windows 10 1803 EDU x64. All I want is the Critical updates and Security updates. Ive already gone through and checked off what I thought was not necessary. But I am not sure really about most. For instance... I am not wanting any creator, anniversary or fall updates. I will just create a new image next summer with 19xx and start from scratch. For me its just easier that way. Does anyone have any recommendations Another reason I am asking is...even though I un checked updates for ALL versions except for 1803 I still had quite a few version showing up.

Safa, How are you setting up your Group Policy for shutting down your machines at 8pm? I have been trying to create a GP to have nightly restarts but for some reason it just does not take affect.

Hello all. Kinda new here I think this is my 2nd post actually. I just installed new win 10 EDU workstations this year and I have been hearing some grumbling about the new October update. I am feeling a little hesitant to allow this update and think I should just forgo the initial push. I currently have a mixed environment of win7 pro and win10 EDU Server 2012 R2. My current GP is auto downloading and notify for install. Yeah I really should have SCCM or WSUS but my environment is not yet there. I am still working on it. As you all probably know a 1 man show only goes so far. I would like to hear what you all are doing and some advice on what I need and or should do with my current policy.
