  1. I have a workaround solution for Cubase 12 until Steinberg fix the problem properly. The activation details are stored in the Appdata\Roaming folder of the logged on user account used when activating the software (C:\Users\USERNAME\Appdata\Roaming\Steinberg\Activation Manager\Data) I copied the "Data" folder and all of its contents to the "Default" profile's Appdata folder. (C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Activation Manager\Data) You'll have to create some of the folder path. This way the activation details get copied to the Appdata folder for any user who logs on to the computer. There are a few caveats to this workaround. I've only just started using Cubase 12 so I don't know if this is going to work long term. I don't know if Cubase re-checks the license after a period of time, or what would happen if it tried. This has to be done on a per machine basis. AFAIK you get two activations per key, so you can't just copy the "Data" folder from one machine onto all of your others. I use local profiles. You may come up against other issues if you use roaming or mandatory profiles. Hope this helps. Mark
  2. Has anyone else with GeoBook 1Es seen a high number of cracked screens? I've got 95 of these things out with students, and just this week I've had three come back with cracked screens. Before looking at charging for repair I'm wondering if they really are so cheap and nasty that they break with normal use, or that the kids are actually abusing them.
  3. Hi Steve I've included the School Administrator and Third Party Reporting groups, I'll see if that gives me any problems. According to ParentPay, staff info isn't pulled from SIMS so I haven't added any personnel groups. Thanks Mark
  4. Hi All I have recently moved over to SIMS from Facility CMIS and have just been going through setting up MISSync with SIMS. I got to the stage of setting up a ParentPay service account in SIMS, but when I asked which groups the accounts needs to be assigned to the CSR just said full admin access. When I asked what that meant as far as which groups I needed to assign, the response was that SIMS isn't their (ParentPay's) product so they have no idea which groups to assign to the service account. Every other external service has been able to give me the groups needed for their service accounts, so I can see why ParentPay can't. Can anyone here let me know which groups you have assigned to your ParentPay service accounts? Many Thanks Mark
  5. That explains a lot! This is going to confuse my users to no end >.<
  6. Hey guys, I'm looking for a bit of advice. My school is scheduled to migrate to O365 at the end of the month. I have been through MS's guide and am pretty much ready. The bit I'm looking for advice on is the devolution of Live@Edu accounts to personal MS accounts. Do the L@E accounts keep the original domain name? If so, what domain name do the 365 accounts get? So for example, User A currently logs on at outlook.com/mydomain.co.uk with the email address as [email protected] If this account becomes a personal MS account and keeps the mydomain.co.uk suffix, what suffix does the 365 account get given? Regards Mark
