  1. Thanks SHimmer45 - I updated deployment share but not WDS... Definitely ready for half term!
  2. Hello All, I have an issue... we've purchased a new machine (Fujitsu P702) and I am trying to image through PXE. I have done everything correctly as far as I know, including having all drivers in Workbench and my deployment share updated. I am able to image other models so I know it works, however when trying to image this new machine, I get the following message BEFORE I get to the stage of selecting the task sequence/OS: "A connection to the deployment share could not be made. The deployment will not proceed. The following network device did not have a driver installed." See screenshot for full error. The network drivers are in workbench and are correct so am confused as to why it can't see them. They are installed on the machine already as a local Win 7 copy is installed and has internet connectivity. Any help and suggestions would be appreciated as I've had no luck so far with this. Thanks
  3. Thanks for all your suggestions. I tried them all, and in the end, doing it from the Intel Control Panel instead of Win 7 display properties did the trick. Thanks again
  4. Hi All, I have an on-going problem I'd like to share with you. Although initially it may seem a simple one, I'm struggling to solve it. We have a number of Windows 7 laptops with the same model (Fujitsu A530) which can no longer use the Duplicate screen function to project both on the laptop screen itself and on the projector. You can either have one or the other - for example for it to be on the projector, the laptop screen goes black and visa versa. I use FN and F10 to switch between the different modes. I've tried the usual things, trying a different projector, changing VGA cables, updating drivers but to no avail. What is strange is that it is happening all of a sudden to a number of machines on a number of projectors, which is what made me thing perhaps it was the driver. If I try the newer A532 model, it works without a problem. Has anyone else had this or would you recommend something I haven’t already done? Thanks.
  5. Okay, I've never set one up so I'll look into it.
  6. I have 113 SEN pupils on my network, as of about half an hour ago, none of them have roaming profiles. Nothing is in the profile path in AD and local profiles are just stored on each machine. I'm not sure if this is the best way to keep it? Or should I create mandatory ones?
  7. Thanks for your replies! So just to confirm... if in Active Directory, a student has nothing in the profile path box, it means they obviously don't have a roaming profile, however it does mean they have a local profile still on each machine?
  8. Hello All, Just some advise really.... In your schools, do your student accounts have roaming profiles? Obviously our staff do as they have the ability to save favorites, save to desktop etc however for students, data is taken from the server and they save work directly to a user area on the server and therefore I'm debating removing roaming profiles for students. We are a fairly small school and therefore space hasn't really been an issue. Are there any real benefits for students to have roaming profiles? Look forward to your responses.
  9. Many thanks, problem solved! Thanks for all your help, greatly appreciated.
  10. Hi Everyone, I'm still having this issue and was curious if anyone had any ideas. Many Thanks.
  11. Just an update to this: I tried logging in using the "Light' version of OWA (designed for low bandwidth users), attempting to open the Address Book and this works fine, so it's only using the standard version of OWA. Not sure if this makes any difference to the solution to this issue. If someone could help that would be great. Thanks
  12. Hi All, I'm having an issue with My Outlook Web App for my Exchange Server 2010. When the user visits OWA, they can log in, read emails, reply to emails, view calendars etc but when they try to look at the GAL (Global Address List) or click on the "To" button in a new email, they get the following error: "An unexpected error occurred and your request couldn't be handled." When you ask to see more details of the error message, you get the following: "Request Url: http://mydomain.sch.uk:80/owa/forms/...0251_913713053 User host address: ???.???.???.??? Many Thanks
  13. I have now solved this issue. Thanks for all your help
  14. Hi Dany2010, The only registry edits for that OU in the preferences section of GP is a default wallpaper we have for all users in that OU. There is nothing else there. In regards to WMI Filters, no there isn't any showing. Thanks
  15. Hi Everyone, This issue is still outstanding. I've spent ages looking in Group Policy Management but to no avail. Can anyone provide me with simple step by step instructions on how to allow one particular organisational unit the ability to allow them to lock their machines? Thanks
