I have made a few minor tweaks before, for earlier versions of Windows. Things like IE proxy settings, preventing access to Control Panel, that sort of thing. I always did this from the server using Group Policy Editor. Do MS recommend only doing this from clients?

Hi FN-GM Thanks for your post. Do you know roughly what steps would be involved to do this? Are Microsoft likely to release an update that will allow modifications from the server? Thanks

Can anyone confirm whether Windows Server 2012 is required for controlling group policy for Windows 8? Or can it be done with 2003 / 2008 / 2008R2? Thanks
