  1. For network drives and printers etc. we tend to use http://www.kixtart.org/ for the logon script. Takes abit of configuring but works well for us.
  2. Main benefit we've found with Scratch 2.0 is the ability to use it on tablets, and it seems to run pretty well!
  3. the best way of managing them is probably using the apple configurator with ether a imac or a mac server. Im trying to get meraki working in a school that uses SWGFL filtering, all ports have been unblocked that meraki specified but the devices will still not sync up. AirWatch is another alternative to look into
  4. are all the devices the same? we tried to image a set of laptops before and the one that was a different model caused this problem for us, we ended up either starting them individually so they did not all wait for eachother to catch up or doing them in batches of the same hardware. A major pain! (as always with ms)
  5. Only problem with using 3rd party tablets (unless Toshiba) is that classview will not work. This is because it requires root access to the system partition, and the only ways to do this are: Root the tablet Install Learnpad in system partition Or a custom install image We're currently trying to get it work on a Fujitsu M532 tablet and we're working on a solution to the classview issue. Tried the standard learnpad tablets and do not go for them, go with Toshiba or another well known brand. The cheap tablets overheated, had a poor wireless connection and were very slow. Learnpad is by far the best management tool for using android devices in education though, very promising!
