Just a quick update for anyone else looking for the solution that Craig helped out with. So without any quotes for a two week timetable with the lesson format of similar to Fri 2 1. If you simply put the week number a space and the lesson number i.e. 2 4 Here is the periods table from that school Period Name Period Type 1 1 Lesson 1 2 Lesson 1 3 Lesson 1 4 Lesson 1 5 Lesson 1 6 Lesson 2 1 Lesson 2 2 Lesson 2 3 Lesson 2 4 Lesson 2 5 Lesson 2 6 Lesson Registration Registration Hope that helps someone. Hi Craig, Now we are in the holidays I have some time to look at this. I can see this being very useful. I have tried it with one set of data which worked well once I figured out that I had to enter :1 as period name (The lessons are labelled 2Fri:1) I have tried it with a second set of data but can't get the periods to work, the lessons are labelled Fri 2 1 if have tried " 1" but the leading space is removed. Is there a way around this? Cheers

As System Manager 7 is a long way off (relatively speaking) Does anyone use/have any scripts they use to change passwords in SIMS. The kind of thing I was thinking of: To have a script run which will reset passwords monthly and create a list of the new passwords in a text file. To have a script that would change a singe user password which is constant in several school databases In a search before postin DBPwdChg.exe came up - anyone know what this does?

Thanks for the suggestions. After looking at the commercial software on offer, I have not been asked to look into a diy approach. The biggest issue that I can see with a diy option is target banks. Does anyone have any information on either Free or Commercial Target banks?

Hi all, We use SIMS .net and have been looking into how SEN is recorded. This has led us on to IEP's and how they are created and recorded. As you are probably aware SIMS is biased towards IEPWriter v3. We have looked at this and while I like the concept and the level of information it contains, I am less than happy with the software itself. Is anyone aware of any alternatives to IEPWriter? If so, how well do they integrate into SIMS? i.e pulling data from and posting data back to SIMS.
