Surface Pro 3 Screen Duplication
MHSian replied to MHSian's topic in Network and Classroom Management
What I've found so far is that you need to use the Surfaces wireless connection to connect to the Miracast dongle and then connect the Miracast dongle its self to the Schools SSID which isnt possible without creating a whole new SSID. Perhaps I'm just doing it wrong... -
I doubt they would enjoy my cooking.

Hi All Apologies if this is posted in the wrong section. I've recently borrowed a Surface Pro 3 with the hope that we were able to mirror it to our projectors using Miracast. Unknowing to me that Miracast uses the Wireless signal of the Surface disconnecting it from our SSID, this causes a great deal of problems for us with regard to Mapped drives and network resources. So far the best we have found is to Network our projectors and use the Epson EasyMP application. While it is easy to set up the lag and delay between what happens on screen to the projection is unacceptable. I was wondering if anyone has been successful in implementing something like this or if anyone has any helpful tips/advice around devices that could be used? Many thanks Ian

I do apologise, its a Juniper Gateway. That being said, are they worth using?

Hi all We are looking into getting a new internet connection and we have been offered Juniper as a solution. I've never really heard of Juniper and just wanted to ask if anyone had used them before or had any ideas about their service? Apologies if this is in the wrong forum section Thanks in advance.

thanks for the reply. We are going to take the option of the local drive being passed through rather than used 3rd party software.

Hi guys We've recently taken on board a couple of primary schools into our academy. They have an RDS connection into our school with device pass through configured for remote printing etc. The problem that we are having is with device pass through and scanning. This is the first time that I have configured pass through and im not sure if this even works at all with scanners. Overall they are wanting to remote scan documents into our corero finance system. Their are scanning using a multi function printer, the printer works fine but she can not scan. Any hints/tips/cheats welcomed and appreciated

Hi guys Every couple of months or so our data store server stops responding to network traffic. It is a virtual machine, we use vmware 5.5.0. The server will not respond to any networking connections until it is restarted via vsphere client. I was just wondering if anyone else has come across this problem as there are no errors in any log. Any help would be appreciated. thanks!

Hi all This may be a long shot but I'm out of options. The Adobe forum was useless. I've recently set up an AUSST on a windows platform with ISS7. I followed the below guide. The webserver appears to be working fine. I have done the check suggested in the documentation and I am able to browse all the files on the server. I'm using Adobe Application Manager 3.1 to create a CS6 Package. Everything seems to work until Adobe Application Manager 3.1 attempts to communicate with the server. The error recieved is "The server is not responding" when trying to connect to the local update server. To create an overrides file I used AUSST, I've checked what was produced and the IP address, ports and URLs are all correct. My first question is, will Adobe Application Manager 3.1 use the overrides file when creating a package to access the local update server when making the CS6 package instead of the adobe update server? My next question is, does anyone know why I wouldnt be able to access the server to download the updates? My last question is, How does RUM work with CS6? I have watched a video on AdobeTV but it didnt give a good explanation about how to use it or where to get it from. http://wwwimages.adobe.com/www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/c reativesuite/pdfs/AUSST-technote.pdf Kind Regards, Ian
