Hi dana_lehman, thank you for the reply.
At the moment i dont have any solution of thin clients, but i want to use a solution like this with old hardware and without harddisk.
The ideia is to boot using pxe and rdesktop to a windows server 2008.
During the weekend i installed in a virtual enviroment two versions of thinstation: 2.2.2i and thinstation-5.1.1.
- Virtual Machine centos 6.3 for thinstation
- Virtual Machine Windows 2008 R2 for remote desktop
- Virtual Machine to boot using PXE
First i installed version 5.1.1 in centos 6.3 and didnt get sucess, just installed the software needed in this dev enviroment, but i didnt get thinstation to work:
After the installation i did the following
cd /thinstation
./setup-chroot
cd /ts/5.1
./build
During this build it always ask to install Chrome, and i dont why, but this i strange, because i need just to get thinstation to rdesktop a windows server 2008.
After this try, i start a new instalation of centos 6.3 with thinstation 2.2.2i and in this version thinstation works correctly. I can boot using dhcp, get from my tftp the image and i can rdesktop my windows server 2008.
It seems ok, but i´m getting some issues to connect USB Mass Storage Devices in thin stations. In the build.conf the module of usb storage is ok, but i cannot get usb storage to work.
Do you think the problem is with this version of rdesktop, and by the way, do you think this is the right way to install thinstation?
Thank you again for your reply.
