First post saying thanks so much for this custom adm. Great idea.
I came across this start menu issue about a month ago and have been coming back to it since.
I created a custom adm last night but i wasn't really happy with it, and i think this is a better idea.
I followed the idea of removing a couple of entries in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Folder\shell\open - which is ok but i was not happy in case of knock-on effects later on, as it removes Open option for folders. Tho at first testing it does seem to effect only the start menu ... but!
