I checked all the settings in regional and language section and it all says what it should be (dd/MM/yyy) but keeps telling me is not ARHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Hi All This problem I hope someone has a fix for before a take a hammer to a nice new latop. Have new windows 7 laptop and I'm trying to install sims onto it but keep getting a error saying that the short date setting are wrong should be (dd/MM/yyy) and its sayings it set to (M/d/yyy) it not unless it hidden some where any one help? Thank's for all the help people:) after asking for what seemed to be the 1000 time my friend managed to produce a bl**dy restore disk:eek: A quick rebuild and a not so quick update last night it finaly connected to the wireless and stayed there for over a hour. Many thanks again Training needed

I should of said in the first place I connected my XDA to wireless fine and works nice and quick bl**dy laptop will be the death of me....

Hi All I'm having issues with a laptop and its starting to turn into a right pain in my ar*e. Its runing vista home and was working wireless a 6 weeks back now without any issues. It all started when the internet stop working and this turned out to be norton blocking the internet from running:doh: After this the owner has change there ISP to virgin media, I have set up the wireless router goes through the install say everything is fine and working. As soon as you take the cat 5 cable out the try and connect the wireless it just sits there and then says "this is taking longer then it should" and then fails. Tried to connect to wireless but nothing :censored: Any ideas Cheers Training Needed

Hi Peps Have two problem with the same model printer a HP2605dn please help! First is that the print quality is very poor there are loads of black line running acrss the page. I have changed all the toners and run a cleanning job on this printer with no change. Could it be the tranfer belt coming to the end of its life time? Second problem I have with a different 2605dn is that it will not attach to my network (has done in the past). I have set the IP address manual and it holds it but then you can not ping it and it does not apear in DCHP. If you try and set the IP address by the automatic option it just hangs and when you print a test page under TCP/IP it just says configuring. The lights on the network card are flashing like it attached to the network but it clearly is not. Any ideas peps Thanks in advanced Training Needed

Hi all Have a small problem but its started to get to me. Every one teachers and students have area quotas but it seems to be not working as a memeber of staff had 200mb in her area:mad: but a quota limit of 100mb so anybody got any idea whats going on we have RM CC3. Thanks

Many thanks for the quick reply but i have tried this tech support sheet with no succses. My support company are not RM but work with RM so to get an answer quickly is like blood out of a stone I can not just phone RM I have to phone them for them to phone RM if that make sencse. I am tring to work out an answer before i have to wait days for one for them to get back to me. anyboby else

HI All Just bought some new workstations to replace the old ones in our front office. These workstations start to build though RM build fine and will get all the way to the windows screen where you can see the green fields and blue sky with the cmd box over the top then it gives a error System error 1231 has occurred The network location cannot be reached I can build any of our older style machines without issues but cannot build any of the four new machines. My build disk is up to date anybody got any ideas? Training needed

The tech doc say about moving RMshortcut bank, RMShared Documents and the RMstaff area I would like to only move the RMStaff area as it contains over 15Gb of data this would be enough untill i can get another hard drive fitted. Hi all After running out of hard drive space on the main server today:mad:. I thought I would move Our RMStaff area from server one to server two to save over 15Gb of storageon that drive. Shared the folder and gave it the same permissions as the RMStaff area on the main server sent out the drive mappings via RMMC but still get the access error when trying to make a new folder this is with Administrator log on. Any RM guys can help me out with some ideas. Many Thanks

Not here mate we a special needs school so that knowing what class the kids are in is not a problem their always in the same class. They just want to move to lesson monitor to take registers

Hi All Just moved to a new school where basically the Sims.net is only used in the office really:confused:. The school want to start to move to taking registers next year at some point using lesson monitor. The problem is that the member of staff who writes the timetable does it in excel not nova T6:censored:. Does this mean I would have too input the whole timetable into Sims.net by hand and is this possible? My last school used nova T6 which then you just SQL link to Sims.net to get a timetable and was very successful and not to painful. Any help guys and girls very much appreciated. Matt

Well it turns out that they don't have the time any way to do a server install becuase of rolling out CC4 if i want a CC4 server install no problems! but not CC3 arhhhhhhhhh Cost of install is even better they say that a local approved company can do it cheaper then a eco install and thats coming to my site!

Hi All silly question i need a answer to can you install a CC3 server yourself or do you have to always have to have a RM aproved engineer to install it? it's just i alway had RM engineers to install a new server and thought can it be done myself? is they instructions somewhere what about the RM software do they supply it? many thanks matt
