About Computer_Services

  1. We've being doing this for a number of years mainly with our 6th form but also other students. A letter is sent to parents detailing our loan scheme and the terms and conditions including details of billable repairs and the students are invited to apply for a loan device. Parents and students are both required to sign the invitation letter showing that they are financially responsible for any damage or repairs and advised to take out suitable insurance if they think they need it. Students then bring this letter to our department and we issue them a device and go through the terms and conditions to make sure they fully understand them. The main thing to do is make sure you have a strong returns and repair policy in place and that it is enforced. For info, we have around 300 student loan devices that are used both on and off the school network.
  2. We have found a user manual for Smartboard 11 and after extensive searching through it, at the bottom of page 160 it descibes how to enter proxy settings and it is accessed using the set language menu. Link for guide is http://www.calu.edu/calufusion/files/smart-notebook-11.pdf Hope this helps smart-notebook-11.pdf
