Hi, I have made a backup of my HAP folder under wwwroot, I need to upgrade to the latest version of Home Access Plus but I see that as I am on version 8.7 then first step would be version 9. I deleted all other than app_data folder and replace with V9. I know get this page when trying to log on. [h=1]Server Error in '/HAP' Application. Thanks Nick - I followed other threads for this error where you have replied with this answer : Select Start - Run, then enter: regedt32 Navigate/expand to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Eventlog\Security Right click on this entry and select Permissions Add the IIS AppPool\HAP User Give it Read permission This fixed the problem - now all working and running version 8.7 Thanks Nathan

Thanks Dan for your answer. I have carried out what you have said for the upgrade of version 8.5 - 8.7 and now get a server error.Have attached screenshot. Do you have any idea what this could be? Also Thanks to Nick for your answer and also do you now what the cause of this screenshot could be? Nathan Hap_v8.7_Error1.docx

Hi Nick, Can you let me know two things: 1. What is the correct and safest method to upgrade Home Acces Plus from version 8.5 to 8.7. I do not see any documenation on website. 2. How do I stop the warning message about upgrades when student or staff logon but still appear when admin members logon? Thanks Nathan

Server Error in /Hap Application Reference Dropzone
nyates replied to nyates's topic in Home Access Plus+
Thanks Nick, That sorted that problem and now all user accounts can see myfiles. -
Thanks Nick, I have resolved by putting a web.config file in the wwwroot folder before IIS can access HAP folder and content. All seems to look right now.

Hi Nick, When logging on as any user account and clicking my files I get a page reference to server Error in /Hap Application line 121 if (typeof (window.FileReader) != 'undefined') $("#MyFiles").attr("dropzone", "copy<%=DropZoneAccepted within myfiles\default.aspx. Would you have any idea why I cannot access my mappings to %homedir% and shared folder on a file server. Your help with this would be appreciated have attached screenshot. Thanks Nick, This has resolved the page appearing -server error in /Hap application. Still testing as a student user I get on the home page Something is wrong in red and also when clicking My files tab. Have attached screenshot. I have looked at all share and ntfs permissions for this user and all seems okay. If I try any member of administrators group user account the mappings work okay. If I add this student testuser as a test to this group this also works okay- Any idea what could be wrong. Thanks Nathan Hap2.docx HAP1.docx
