I have two word files (see attachments) New Notes One Dimentional Motion.doc New Notes One Dimentional Motion.docx When the user opens the DOCX in word and tries to scroll down the machine freezes up (eventually it catches up but you probably know this isn't the best scenario to happen during class). However, when the file is saved as a DOC, word has a much easier time scrolling through the document. The simple answer I gave to the user was to use DOC files which he is doing, but it would be helpful to know if there is something wrong with the way he is creating the files so I can let him know a better way to use these documents in his lessons. I have several users who use the Smart Ink layer exclusively inside Powerpoint (10) for their lessons. They like to annotate on the board with notes during the lecture. It seems this is a surefire case for a BSOD. They are reporting a system crash everytime they attempt to use the ink. The machines are Win7 with Smartnotebook 11 installed and the proper components for both Office and Notebook installed. The ink works properly, it just seems with any extended use they are getting a system crash. 2GB of memory and a Core2 Duo processor is what these machines are packing so I am surprised they are not beefy enough to accomplish this task. Could anyone else duplicate this or is anyone else seeing this issue?
