Avanti Schools Trust is looking for a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer in the Bishop's Stortford area to provide support to the three Trust schools in the area.

To be considered suitable you will need to be immediately available and have a strong background in 2nd line support within a Microsoft environment.
It is essential that you have the following skills:
· Own vehicle and clean driving licence. Some travel to other Trust schools may be required (mileage paid)
· Experience across PC and laptop hardware
· Microsoft, Apple and Chrome OS
· Microsoft Azure - Microsoft 365 and the MS Office Suite - Microsoft Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint
· Basic networking
· Enterprise Wireless administration
· Printer Management

What will you do?
Provide advice, support, training and guidance to users, and support the Network Manager in the strategic development of IT support and resources Assist with configuration, support, servicing, and repairs of ICT equipment used across sites
Administer arrangements for securing data, ensuring back up procedures, disaster recovery plans and other systems are working effectively
Monitor, respond and resolve tickets logged on the trust help desk, escalating complex issues as appropriate, as well as proactively identifying and resolving issues
Keep up to date with technological advances in the use of IT and recommend ways in which the trust can benefit from developments

What are we looking for?
Experience of working in an IT support role within the education sector
Ability to plan and manage their own time effectively and work prioritising tasks in a time efficient manner and keep to deadlines in a very busy environment
Understanding ICT use in supporting effective teaching and learning
