I've never really had an issue with the Lenovo support, maybe just because I'm across the pond. But we call in a support ticket for a computer and they are out the next day with the part and replace it. I just received an order for seven of the E530's and they seem a little cheap with the plastic body but the department the purchased them had a limited budget. The only big issue I have with them is the trackpad, I'm a button mouse kind of guy and I've never liked trackpads, my thumbs always seem to think that it's the spacebar and before you know it my reports turn into a mess. Going back to Lenovo, they are a great company we've used them since they were still IBM and we have not noticed any issue with their service. I'm in the same boat as XiJ, we use the All-in-Ones in our labs too and they're great for the application. Now if only I can get our kids to realize that the screens are not touch screens.......

Not too familiar with WIM myself I deploy with Ghost, but I might be able to help with sysprep. Please clarify are you deploying a Win Server 2008 image or using server 2k8 to deploy another os. Also setting the partition, do you mean since the two computers are different model that the hdd sizes are different? We deploy win 7 on six-or-so different model computers and use the same answer file.

I thought I would chime in on this thread. Our old server admin was a big fan of astronomy and named everything such. Server names after planetary bodies, domains were moonlight and sunshine and everything of the sorts. Time went by and he has long retired and left us, and over the years our server names have followed a more traditional naming convention Mailstore, Exchange, StuDom, Fac/StaffDom etc. The last of our "old servers" used to be the backup server for our payroll system, now converted into a Tech file storage share. Our current admin decided to keep the name as a nice tip of the hat to his predecessor (we just think he likes the name) Anyways it always gets a great laugh when somebody asks where a certain file is, "Its on Uranus!"
