Not to bump an old thread but I'm actually looking for the same thing and didn't see the point in making a brand new one. I've been looking into this and someone suggested Audacity but it doesn't seem to run properly for me (for whatever reason) has anyone any experience with running this on Windows? I was looking at garageband for pc equivalents but this one isn't free although it is pretty cheap has anyone tried dubturbo?

Personally I don't think there's much to warrant the price tag of the upgrade. Nothing in it I'd use that I don't get from third party tools already.

I still don't understand why Windows won't give us the option if we still want a start menu. I mean why do they care so much how we operate from our desktop?
