  1. I understand what you mean but I dont know how to do it. And I'd definately only want an HTML application to interface with the database. Are there any tutorials out there?
  2. Thanks for the reply! I've read that Access DB's are terrible online. But my MySQL skills are pretty lacking. Do you think it'd be easier doing it with MySQL? Any links to point me in right direction?
  3. Hey guys, I need a bit of help ... a lot of help really lol. I'm trying to access an Access Database from the Internet. I want to be able to edit/update and delete information in it. The whole things leading to the creation of a 'Ticketing System' for my schools IT services. And I know some of you may say to just buy one but I'd rather learn how to create one for myself. Any useful links or words of wisdom?
  4. Hi guys, I've been asked to catalogue the Languages CD's that they use for speaking and listening. I thought it'd be best to make like an internal mini website that would allow staff and students to access the sound files easier, should be easier to manage as well. Basically I'm trying to make it so that staff select the sound file they want to fun from a drop down list and once they select it, it automatically loads the music file. The code I've been trying to use is, (only tried to make it work with the first 3 links btw) Module 1 Etudes Title Deja Vu p. 6, Ex. 2a p. 7, Ex. 4a p. 7, Ex. 5a p. 8, Ex. 5d p. 10, Ex. 1b p. 11, Ex. 4a p. 12, Ex. 2a p. 14, Ex. 1b p. 14, Ex. 3a p. 15, Ex 3b p. 16, Ex. 1a p. 17, Ex. 3 p. 18, Ex. 1a p. 18, Ex. 2a But it loads a new page for a split second and then stops. I just need it to work like a basic link would really but inside a drop down box. I'm sorry if theres a simple stupid solution to this, but I cant seem to figure it. Thanks in advance!
  5. Does anyone know of any decent guides for creating forms in Outlook 2003? I've looked all over the place but cant seem to find any sites that give a lehman's term walkthrough of how to edit them to how I want (the Microsoft site gives answers but just not relevant ones ... typical). TIA P.S. Sorry if this is in the wrong section.
  6. I did only because my tutor suggested it would be something extra to put down on my CV lol - dont think it helped me get my placement though. Plus its nice to carry around the little card you get in your wallet ... flash it at people rofl. Also yeah theres some good resources on their website.
  7. Awesome thanks a lot. I totally forgot about w3schools!
  8. I'm trying to add a link inside an image ... if that makes sense. For example if you have a group staff photo and click on a teachers face it takes you to their profile, how do I do that? And if someones being especially clever what I'd really like to do is have a small window that appears when you mouse over their face giving a brief description of the staff member and a link to their main profile. Is this possible to do with JavaScript? Any help would be much appreaciated, any good websites to read up on etc. TIA.
  9. Hahaha I like it.
  10. Thanks a lot for the replies guys. I'll give all the suggestions a whirl and let you know.
  11. Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and hope this is the right area to post this, apologies if it isn't. Btw I love the "FFS!" area - awesome! Anyway my problem is this, the newer teacher laptops seem unable to display video over both the new and older projectors in the school. Its wierd because they display the video on the laptops screen but when viewing it over the projector Windows Media Player is up but where the video should be playing is just an empty black space (this goes for any software that we have to play DVD's). I've tried playing around with the Display settings - changing screen resolution, graphics acceleration etc but nothing seems to work. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.
