  1. What about Pentium D?
  2. Few of you mentioed AB Tutor above, which is an extremely powerful program & absolute bargain compared to the prices of similar software. Had a demo with the developer at Bett & was thoroughly impressed.
  3. Doing a similar thing, What extra advantages would there be getting an actual server rather than using an old PC?!?
  4. aww its blocked by our filter!
  5. I've made a note of this as well, but it only seemed to be an issue on two machines. The first suggestion of adding secmon to the exceptions seems to have solved the problem.
  6. Thats excellent, thank you Noser
  7. We run sophos as well, what solution did you find?
  8. They don't have dual processors. The machines are Fuji Siemens Athlonx2 AMD 64. We have three domain controllers
  9. Here is an odd problem. Running Ranger on over 200+ PCs, but the problem exists on 2 new ones - which we only have 2 of the particular brand. Ranger install takes place. Logon to Network, Ranger runs fine - finds server. Then gets to desktop, no icons, no taskbar nothing except explorer window? If I type explorer.exe into new task, all the desktop icons appear? I remove ranger and then logon - everything is fine, install Ranger again - the same problem exists - no icons etc. Anyone got any ideas? Cheers
  10. Thats okay, I used zero assumption for some digital camera photos as well, & it works a treat!
  11. Tried the pcinspector but keep getting an access violation at address 00402feb in module 'filerecovery.exe'
  12. I know there are a few posts already, not having much luck though.... I want to recover data from my harddrive, I have put it alongside another hd in another machine. I've opened the hd in the other machine where I want to get my data back from & its empty. I've run disk inspector & the files are there. Could anyone recommend a good free piece of recovery software?
  13. Cheers Geoff
  14. When using Linux, are you just running the operating system to recover? Hows it done?
