Staff Vacancies - Sacred Heart Secondary

Hi We've had HAP running for a while and like a number of sites are unaware of how much use it actually gets. However those who do use it, SLT, complain about the reliability and consistency of its performance. Staff report back that when they login not all drives are available, but if they login 5 minutes later the drives are all there. When they email me to tell me it's not working I login and the drives are there. Has anybody ever experienced this? If so is there a logical reason for it? The issue is leading to a lack of confidence on the part of the staff, resulting in them not using it. Any advice appreciated, John

Hi I don't know if you've had a resolution for this, but we had the same issue yesterday and when I checked the config file wwwroot\HAP\App_Data\hapconfig.xml it showed that there were more than one drive with the same letter or number, changed them so that there's only one of each and all sorted. Funnily enough it was our head too. Hope this help.

Ran procmon and all appeared fine until I tried logging into SIMS, under the network tab there were no entries at all. On my machine there were over 700. It appears that it's not leaving the server

We have a server that sits in the LA DMZ and runs remote access and PARS, the server needs SIMS on it to run PARS. Until recently everything was working fine all connections being made and all applications working. Last week we needed to do an update and when we ran the process it said it was unable to connect to the database and asked for the relevant credentials, even with these added there was no connection. We then tried running SIMS and it failed saying Reason 0- I know this would indicate that the database cannot be contacted, I’ve checked and the LA assures me that all the relevant ports are open between this server and the SIMS server. The connect ini file is correct and works on my workstation. The Windows firewall is switched off at all levels and despite that I’ve added that all programs can run. When I've checked the SIMS server there is no entry in event viewer that would suggest there was any attempt to connect. It was suspected that this is a network issue so we brought the server into school and connected it. The faults are exactly the same. The DNS settings we believe are correct The database names are correct I’ve done a clean install of SIMS I’ve installed SIMS on another server and it works fine Nothing appears to resolve it, pulling my greying hair out. Any ideas would be welcomed.

Morning, I've recently changed the SA password on HAP+ and now get the message below when users try to log in. If the SA password is reset to the original it works fine again.
