  1. This is strange and I do not understand it! If I type in http://portal.ses.lincs.sch.uk works fine, type in https://portal.ses.lincs.sch.uk and it can not see the site. If I turn on SSL certification in IIS makes no difference! Can I also setup it up so external clients only require a certificate but that is a different porblems! Thanks Scott Slocombe SES IT Manager
  2. the https://*****.ses.lincs.sch.uk resolves fine! Is there anything else that needs setting up in MOSS 2007?
  3. No we do not use ISA! We have a fortigate firewall/content filtering box, which you set policies on to, I have allowed HTTPS, HTTP, PING to the DMZ. I have setup NAT so that the external ip address NAT's through to the IP address in the DMZ. There is no 404 error etc. it just says in the browser that page can not be found, check your internet connection, the website maybe experiencing problems. Do I need to make changes in IIS, but I thought that was the alternative mapping did in MOSS 2007. I have not put a certificate on the site yet but this should not stop the page being seen. I have have OWA setup and that works fine, so the policies etc on the firewall are working Scott Slocombe
  4. I have setup an alterative access mapping for external access to ur sharepoint site. I have setup it as a public extranet link https://*****.ses.lincs.sch.uk. However when I try to access the site from the outside world it comes up with the username, password screen. Put in the details and nothing comes up. If I then put in https://*****.ses.lincs.sch.uk/Pages/Default.aspx. The site then comes up but when I try to access other sites in the collection the page can not be found. Has anyone got any ideas how to fix this? Scott Slocombe ITManager Stamford Endowed School
