    Sun Storage 7110

Hmmm, I did a firmware update last august, this was really not complicated. I'll do another one in a month or two, if it helped to solve the problem I'll post it here.

I finally found something on the oracle support pages, I don't want to post the whole article cause it is published for oracle support customers. Found it on support.oracle.com - You need to log-in Issue: Sun Storage 7000 Unified Storage System: Service Processor (SP) Issues Just to resume: Cause: A number of CRs for memory leaks on the Service Processor (...) The reasons for these variations are not known at this time. Solution: Reset Service processor via GUI manually each time the problem occurs and open a Service Request for remote SP BIOS upgrade by an Oracle Support engineer.

Great, we don't have support contract for this storage
  4. SOURCE: svc:/appliance/kit/akd:default, REV: 1.0 DESC: The service processor has stopped responding to requests. AUTO-RESPONSE: None. IMPACT: Features that depend on service processor functionality, including hardware inventory, LED control, and fault diagnosis, will not function correctly while the service processor is in this state. REC-ACTION: Restart the service processor. Contact your service provider if the problem persists. I've this problem every 3 or 4 months on a sun storage 7310. Done a firmware update on release 2010.Q3.4.0, but still the same problem. When it happens a week-end without quick intervention oth the GUI ILOM to reset this, I must hard reset the server monday morning... Does somebody know what's going wrong??
