  1. many of the exchanges up there do tend to be rather expensive for fibre unless your near Bidrford / barnsaple, then its not to bad. i guess you looked at EFM?
  2. ouch, im in exeter so feel the pain... where in devon are you?
  3. any where from 7k upwardsa year for a 10mb on 100mb bearer (fibre) or 4k upwards for a 10Mb and upwards EFM Circuit (if its available in your area)
  4. tagging is the wrong way round you should be tagging ports you want to restrict and untagging ports you dont for example odd ports are tagged vlan 1 even ports are tagged vlan 2 uplink port is untagged. on the far end switch you would then do the same, uplinks untagged but the server port tagged in both vlan 1 and 2.
  5. a note when looking at a hosted voip solution, is to ensure that there is continous quality of service from your ISP through to your hosted voip provider. many a situation has arrisen where hosted services have been delivered over a large internet pipe to the customer premise, but the connection between the hosted Voip provider and the ISP has been over the public internet, hence no garentees on the quality of service.
