So, it looks like it won't work out for me. Here was the install path. Computers came with Windows 8 home. Upgraded to windows 8.1 Pro Licensed from Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Center. Any comments will be helpful. Thanks, Rick

Must be volume licence causing the no upgrade. The computers came with Windows 8.1 Pro, but they are imaged and a volume license is used after the install.

Hi eduGeek, I'm sure this question has been asked how to Upgrade Windows 8.1 Pro to Windows 10 Pro free? I'm using an installation ISO and the upgrade then ask for a key. I thought I can reuse the same key from 8.1 to upgrade to Windows 10. These are domain computers, on our Windows 8.1 computers the free windows 10 upgrade button is not available. Do I need a new key for Windows 10 Pro and is the upgrade free? Thanks, Rick
