  1. hi guys, i now have two of these with exactly the same fault as this on both. it appears to me to be either track break via fault or most likely a BGA joint break under the CPU connector or large ic. The fault appears to be a very important control line like the read/write line as the unit freezes ie no activity from screen or mouse movement then carries on once unit is flexed no drop outs or errors etc. the cases on these cause the units to flex quite a lot so old ones are probably prone to this as the do get picked up by the corners. also more modern laptops have harder cases. only way to fix these before skipping them is probably to apply heat over the large ics to reflow the solder underneath. Let me know how you get on if you try this. heat only needs to get to 180Dec C to melt solder so dont blow torch too much!!!. Else- get another make of lappy. pls email me if successful. BR Steve
