  1. I have a relative who has just been given a very old PC. It's a citrix 333 with 32 mb of Ram. 4mb are taken by the online graphics card. It has Win98 installed on it. They want to use VirginMedia broadband but they said it would only work on an XP machine. I think VirginMedia are wrong and that it should work on any PC. If I install for them a network card I think it should work as the modem virgin supply is an ethernet cable modem. What do people think? Mprcomp
  2. I'm really confused about all of this. It does sound good but seems to have alot of red tape surrounding it. I'm a Computing / ICT teacher and this would be useful for students and XP sounds great but you could not install XP on the 30 machines and use in a sense free licenses because this would be classed as being part of the infastructure. So in brief you can get the software but only if it's for testing not for normal every day use. Is that correct? Paul
  3. Why does a Novell Zen Works log in take 6 minutes in my school. I keep asking techies but just get its not on list of priorities. Is this me expecting too much? Paul

    GroupWise

I must admit I hate Novell but my new school uses it so I have no choice. Groupwise is excellent one thing that seems to work well and quickly. Due to our network it takes 6 mintues to log on so we don't yet have quick email but that is due to our network techies. Paul
