Hi all,
I am starting to think about installing SCCM 2012. My endless searches of google has not come up with a solution to the question that is running around in my head. The current situation is this. We are a small school 450 kids and around 70 staff. We are running two servers, admin and curriculum on a flat network. Both servers have their own AD/DNS ect...
I have a spare server which I have loaded server 2012 on and was wondering whether I can use this separate server as the SCCM server? My worry is how will this talk to the active directory on my other two servers. From what I can understand SCCM uses AD and also SQL.
so the question is:
1) Can SCCM be installed on a separate server?
2) Does that separate server need AD or be a domain controller?
Regards
Jim
