We have new stand alone laptops that we just need to have notepad on for exam purposes - on the APP listing it shows things like X-Box, My Phone which we want hidden. Have asked a friend who suggests:
Open the Windows 10 Search Bar, and type in PowerShell. Right-click the PowerShell app and click “Run as administrator”. Type the following command and press the Enter key: Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxApp | Remove-AppxPackage Wait until the process is finished. It should only take a few seconds to run. Type exit and press the Enter key to exit PowerShell
but my IT response is:
That combined with AppXProvisiedPackage are the way you remove apps but they do not work on newer universal built in apps like Xbox, contacts, mail etc
Is it possible at all? Really just need Notepad and NOTHING ELSE?
